Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Driver, In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload materials within our warehouse and logistics facility. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient handling of goods, maintaining accuracy in inventory, and upholding safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Forklift Safely: Use counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, and transport pallets, containers, and goods within the warehouse and yard areas.

Material Handling: Efficiently move stock between designated areas, ensuring correct placement and safe stacking to avoid damage to goods.

Loading & Unloading Trucks: Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring that all goods are securely fastened and transported to the correct locations.

Inventory Management: Assist in the stock control process, ensuring that all inventory is accurately recorded, and assist with routine stock checks.

Pre-operation Checks: Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts, reporting any issues or repairs needed to the maintenance team.

Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to company policies.

Warehouse Support: Assist with other general warehouse duties as required, including packing, labelling, and organising inventory.

Communication: Work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations, communicating any issues or delays promptly.

Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience as a counterbalance forklift driver, ideally within a transport, logistics, or warehousing environment.

Certification: Valid counterbalance forklift license/certification is required.

Physical Fitness: Ability to handle heavy lifting, long periods of standing, and operating machinery in varying conditions.

Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced warehouse environment, which may involve working in varying weather conditions.

Regularly operating forklifts around heavy machinery and materials.
