Key Responsibilities
As a Forklift Driver, you will:
- Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, and transport materials across the warehouse or yard.
- Handle electrical waste materials, ensuring careful and compliant handling.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, sorting, and moving items as required-this role is not solely forklift operation.
- Organise inventory by moving and stacking pallets accurately.
- Conduct daily checks and basic maintenance of forklifts to ensure safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Support general warehouse duties as required when forklift operation is not needed.
What We're Looking For
- Valid forklift license (e.g., Counterbalance) with relevant experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or industrial setting (experience with waste management or recycling is a plus).
- Good physical fitness-this role involves manual handling and standing for extended periods.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to safe working practices.
