Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Import Specialist ideally with CDS (Customs Declaration Service) to join our team. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can manage the complexities of customs clearance, handle administration tasks, and work efficiently to ensure smooth import processes.
Import Specialist Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of import customs clearance, ensuring compliance with current regulations and customs procedures.
- Process customs declarations using CDS and other required systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to ensure timely and accurate clearance of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions, including invoices, shipping documentation, and other related paperwork.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, reporting, and correspondence.
- Perform accounting tasks related to import transactions, including invoice reconciliation and cost tracking.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Ensure timely and efficient handling of all import-related deadlines, managing time effectively to meet operational needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in import customs clearance and CDS processes.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Solid time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Experience in accounting or finance related to import/export transactions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and a strong commitment to ensuring the success of the team.
