The Company:With their head office Based in Cheshire and staff spread throughout the UK and Europe, our client is a vendor-neutral company specialising in network infrastructure solutions, project management and implementation. Working across the UK and Europe they pride themselves in providing the highest standard of works to the highest specification and they thrive off the challenges working across the globe can bring. With over 15 years experience in the telecommunications sector, they work directly with one of the largest global retailers and have work orders confirmed for the next 5 years.They are at a crucial growth point where they could move from a £3m turnover business to £30m with the right people on board.The RoleOur client is looking for an experienced Bid Consultant to join them on an initial 3 week contract with a view to ongoing work and an opportunity for a permanent position for the right person.This is a newly created role looking for someone to truly make their mark in the area of network cabling.You will work closely with the COO and have access to a number of approved frameworks including construction line gold and several large retails brands as well as premier league football club frameworks.There is a competitive day rate / salary and OTE available with room to grow and mould your career how you see fit.YOU MUST BE LIVING IN THE UK WITH FULL UK WORKING RIGHTS AND NOT ON A TEMPORARY VISA.  Who you are:
  • Driven, accountable, passionate about bids, focused on continuous improvement and a successful track record.
  • Experience in:
    • Managing highly complex bids with numerous stakeholders.
    • Leading and embedding bid best practice (tools and methodology). 
    • Owning and being accountable for the end-to-end bid process.
    • MUST have data cabling or telecoms background
  • Intermediate to advanced capability with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong bid writing, editing, proofing, written and oral communication skills (English).
  • Ability to create impactful visuals/images from written content.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse complex client needs and determine a suitable response.
  • Positive and professional, with the ability to thrive in high pressure situations and environment. 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). 
  • Exceptional project management skills with a “get it done” attitude.
  • Ability to coach and steer colleagues within the team and as well stakeholders and SMEs. 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar function (bid/sales/procurement).
