SALARY- 30,000 - 40,000, dependent on experience
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a BIM Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.
The BIM Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- 2 years or more experience in a relevant Design role
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar.
- Experience working with piping would be beneficial
- Ideally be Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and building codes
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The BIM Engineer role will involve:
- Collaborating with the design and engineering teams to develop 3D models for mechanical systems using BIM software
- Finalising and signing off existing designs
- Coordinating and integrating BIM models with other disciplines to ensure clash-free design and construction
- Reviewing mechanical systems designs to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
- Providing technical support and expertise in BIM technology and workflow to project teams
- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and libraries for mechanical systems
- Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
- Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
