ROLE- BIM EngineerLOCATION- SouthamptonTERM- PermanentSALARY- £30,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a BIM Engineer to join their team in Southampton on a permanent basis.   The BIM Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • 2 years or more experience in a relevant Design role 
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar.
  • Experience working with piping would be beneficial 
  • Ideally be Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and building codes
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient using MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
  • Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The BIM Engineer role will involve:
  • Collaborating with the design and engineering teams to develop 3D models for mechanical systems using BIM software
  • Finalising and signing off existing designs 
  • Coordinating and integrating BIM models with other disciplines to ensure clash-free design and construction
  • Reviewing mechanical systems designs to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
  • Providing technical support and expertise in BIM technology and workflow to project teams
  • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and libraries for mechanical systems
  • Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
  • Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
