We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team in Southampton! Partnering with a leading logistics company, you'll be hitting the road and delivering general haulage across the UK. If you're ready for a dynamic role with plenty of travel and adventure, this is the perfect position for you!
About this Class 1 position:
- Monday to Friday
- Ongoing full-time work
- Start time between 6:00am- 7:00am (10-12-hour day on average)
- Long distance driving
- Up to 4 deliveries per day with some collections
- Delivering palletised freight to businesses on general haulage where load will be forklifted off
- Staying overnight in the cab
- Completing all relevant paperwork correctly
- Vehicle checks
What we require from you as a Class 1 Tramper:
- Full UK Class 1 driving licence
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
- Minimum of 1 year driving experience is essential
- Previous strapping experience
- Comfortable staying out/ sleeping in cab
- Previous similar work is beneficial
- Have a great understanding of health and safety
- Alert and aware of your surroundings
- Have fantastic communication skills
- Excellent understanding of drivers hours
