We are currently seeking an exceptional Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to join our client's esteemed organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate with 4-7 years of PQE to advise predominantly on non-contentious matters.

Our client's team has a dynamic approach, with individuals working across both contentious and non-contentious cases to develop a diverse skill set. However, their recent business wins have been focused on challenging, high-profile transactional work. As such:

  • A deep understanding of JCT and NEC contracts from a construction and property development perspective is essential for this role.
  • Experience in PPP or PFI transactions would be highly regarded, as would exposure to FIDIC or ICHEME forms.

Based in Southampton, this position offers the opportunity to collaborate with our client's large construction team, which operates across all of their offices. Hybrid working is encouraged, with a typical schedule of three flexible office days per week, based on business needs.

To be successful in this role:

  • Candidates should have high-calibre construction experience gained from a leading national, regional, or City law firm.
  • In-house legal experience within major contracting companies, consultancies, or public bodies will also be highly valued.
  • You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong technical competence and intellectual ability.
  • Commercial awareness, confident and personable demeanour, and exceptional self-motivation are key traits we are seeking.
  • Additionally, candidates should have proven leadership potential and be regarded well within their professional networks.
