Prospero Teaching are looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Room Leader in one of our excellent, warm and welcoming nurseries in Southampton. The successful candidate will demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to lead a nursery room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children and have a minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
As a Nursery Room Leader, you will:
- Lead and manage the nursery room, ensuring high standards of care and education.
- Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- Monitor and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents and carers.
- Support and mentor nursery staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:- Minimum of a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Proven experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to the development of young children.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
