Due to expansion within their Underwriting team, a position for a Senior Assistant Yacht Underwriter has arisen.Your new roleYour new role working as a Senior Assistant Yacht Underwriter means you will maintain a profitable and high-quality portfolio and deliver effective underwriting whilst meeting customer expectations. You will provide technical underwriting expertise to less experienced staff. Duties will include planning and processing your work in a way that will assist the team, assisting with client enquiries, undertaking end-to-end handling of policies, meeting and greeting customers and attending Boat Shows and similar events. Further duties will also include general office responsibilities, ensuring all matters are dealt with in accordance with underwriting procedures at all times, help drive forward good conduct for the business and understanding all appropriate lines of escalation.What you'll need to succeedYour previous experience as an Assistant Underwriter handling Yacht business in the London Insurance Market will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have a high level of underwriting knowledge, able to interpret client's needs, an ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team, willingness to learn and understand systems. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be passionate about customer service and be able to prioritise and manage own workload.
