So, if you want to make a significant contribution to environmental protection and global safety, read on and apply today!The RoleAs a Tender & Proposals Executive, you will provide support to the Global Business Development Team to produce proposals and tenders which maximise OSRL’s chance of success.Specifically, you will manage the development and delivery of proposals and tenders, working closely with internal departments to ensure resource availability and compliance with organisational standards.You will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure tender requirements are met as well, as evaluate the scope, cost, and commercial viability of each proposal.Additionally, you will:- Project manage/support the production and delivery of tenders and proposals by liaising and negotiating with customer and proposals teams, including the evaluation of contractual terms and conditions- Ensure the scope and implications of delivering the tenders/proposals are thoroughly understood and evaluated and ensure tenders/proposals are fully costed and commercially viable- Lead proposal creation, ensuring alignment with OSRL policies- Work with delivery, HR, Tax and Purchasing teams to assess implications of OSRL winning large contracts. Ensure resource availability and build-up are accounted for and planned- Engage with customers (internal and external) to gather feedback on the content, structure, and presentation of proposals. Identify areas for improvement in the preparation and presentation of proposals and make recommendations for continuous improvement- Work within the Tender/Proposal writing team to deliver best practice in proposal presentation- Gather and record metrics on the success of proposals and present these in standard reports and during Bid/No Bid and Kick-off meetings- Contribute to develop tender/proposal templates, scopes of work and other support material to enhance efficiency of tender/proposal production and maintain consistency in standards- Adopt and support good practices and continuous improvement in all health, safety, environment, and quality matters relating to staff, sub-contractors and others with whom OSRL has dealings- Champion the importance of quality, consistency, and good customer service within the Global Proposals Team- Carry out other tasks and projects as defined by management- Gather metrics on proposal success and identify improvement opportunities- Maintain and develop proposal templates and resourcesAbout YouTo be considered as a Tender & Proposals Executive, you will need:- Proven experience in proposal generation and business development- Account management skills- Strong project management and organisational skills- Financial and commercial acumen- Clear written and verbal communication abilities- Attention to detail- The ability to multi-task- IT proficiency, specifically in Word and Excel- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines- A minimum of 3 years’ experience and/or business degree or law degree is preferableOther organisations may call this role Proposals Manager, Bid Manager, Bid Writer, Bids and Tenders Executive, Business Proposal Co-ordinator, Tender Manager or Tender Co-ordinator.Webrecruit and Oil Spill Response Limited are equal opportunities employers, value diversity, and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and applicants.
