The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join a highly regarded client of ours, based on the outskirts of Southampton.

This role will interest people from both Portsmouth & Southampton areas due to the location.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee a team of skilled technicians and ensure the smooth operation of the workshop. Main dealership experience is preferred for this position, as you'll be instrumental in driving performance and maintaining exceptional service standards.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Workshop Controller:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of workshop staff.

Schedule and allocate work to ensure efficient operations.

Monitor workflow and productivity to meet targets.

Act as a liaison for customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.

Review and approve service estimates, repairs, and invoices.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues.

Ensure all work meets quality standards and industry regulations.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of repairs and services.

Recruit, train, and develop workshop staff.

Manage staff performance reviews and provide feedback.

Oversee staff rotas, absences, and attendance.

Manage inventory of parts and workshop supplies.

Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of workshop equipment.

Implement and enforce health and safety standards.

Analyse performance metrics and generate reports.

Package:

Basic Salary of up to £34,000 [Experience dependent] + Bonus.

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00

(1-in-8) Saturday rota, half day!!!
