Health & Safety Advisor
A leading civils contractor is seeking an experienced civils H&S advisor to join them on a 90M scheme that will be ongoing for 3 years based in Hampshire. This is a exceptional opportunity to join a leading contractor with a highly experienced and longstanding team.
About the role of Health & Safety Advisor
This opportunity will be site based across Hampshire, working on a array of impressive schemes to add to your portfolio including Rail, Aviation, highways & heavy infrastructure, with works ranging from 10M - 100M.
Responsibilities for Health & Safety Advisor
- Direct and ensure projects are following the relevant H&S standards on site and issue any training if necessary.
- Obtain and maintain strong working relationships with individuals within the business, site team and client
- Carry out regular site inspections and visits
- Assist and mentor more junior advisor
- Ensure Site Management is aware of and provided with up to date SHE documentation
- Assist with the preparation of various SHE Awareness briefings, toolbox talks, alerts etc. in line with operational requirements.
Requirements for Health & Safety Advisor
- Previous experience within the civils sector is essential
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Relevant NEBOSH qualification and preferably a degree in civil engineering
