We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a young disabled recent university graduate, who is based at her home in Southampton. Join her team to support her with daily living and personal care. This is a great opportunity to help make a positive impact to a young adult’s life.

Start: January 2025

Rota: 7 days on / 7 days off

Location: Southampton (SO14)

Pay: £150 - £160 per day = £1,020 - £1,120 per week worked

Free accommodation whilst on shift.

Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata

About our Client

Our client is a bubbly, young female, who is looking for a like-minded individual to assist her with her daily living, supporting her in navigating around the city and regular days out.

She is a creative person and enjoys a variety of things including creative writing, socialising with friends. She also enjoys writing their online blog and, in the future, would like to get involved with radio, and create a podcast. Having graduated with a Degree in Creative Writing, our client is looking for someone, who shares the same passion for creative writing as she does!

About the Job

This is a great opportunity to do something very different and meaningful in what would hopefully be a long-term position. Other general duties include:

- Daily Living

- Housekeeping / Domestic duties

- Cooking

- Commuting

Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.

Preferable skills:

- A full and clean UK driving license (Desirable)

- Great working attitude

- Excellent sense of humour and ability to not take life too seriously

- Physical fitness, patience, and a caring nature

- Strong communication and listening skills

- Mature and responsible attitude

- You must be able to respect our client's privacy and understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.

- Fluent in English

- Clean and tidy appearance

- Experience in a creative field would be desirable to assist our client with their work.

- Confident in the use of Google Docs and Microsoft Word

- Knowledge of audio editing software (desirable)

- Support in transcription in content writing (desirable)
