We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate English & Media Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school located near Totton, Southampton. This is a full-time, short-term role for 6 weeks, starting as soon as possible, with the possibility of extension depending on circumstances.

Job Description: As a English & Media Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating lessons in English and Media to secondary school students. You will have the opportunity to inspire students to develop their critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills while fostering a love for literature, language, and media studies. The role offers the chance to work with a dedicated and friendly team, making a meaningful impact on students & academic development.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess dynamic English and Media lessons in line with the national curriculum. Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thought. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Build strong relationships with students, nurturing their literacy, analytical, and creative skills. Adapt teaching approaches to suit the diverse learning needs of students. Contribute to the ongoing development of the English and Media department. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in English, Media Studies, or a related subject. Experience teaching English and Media in a secondary school setting. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for English and Media. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students. A genuine passion for teaching and helping students achieve their potential in English and Media.
