We are working with a friendly mainstream school based in Southampton, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The school boasts fantastic facilities, including a sensory room, soft play areas and extensive outdoor spaces.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with their learning and development. Some of the experiences we are looking for in the ideal candidate include:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and/or social and emotional needs
  • Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals
  • A patient and nurturing approach to working with children
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
