Job Description:
A secondary school in Central Southampton is looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team, starting ASAP. This long-term role offers the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), playing a crucial part in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment for students.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with teaching staff to plan and deliver lessons that meet the specific needs of students. You'll provide one-on-one and small group support, assist in creating personalised learning resources, and help with behaviour management. You will also monitor student progress, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
