We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor / HR professional to work as part of a large team providing comprehensive HR service to managers on a contract via Hays to the end of March 2025.You will be supporting and working with managers across departments with proactive HR advice and guidance on a range of employer-relations case work and HR generalist activity.Key tasks include

  • Provide first level professional advice and guidance to managers on all areas including ER, Grievance, Disciplinary, Performance, Sickness, Absence.
  • Be able to support the training and learning and development needs of employees.
  • Experience of working with trade unions
  • Supporting change management activities including restrucuture and consultations
  • Able to create reports/data to support HR Business Partner and service area managers.

Candidates

  • Seeking experienced HR Advisors with a background of HR generalist and employer relations
  • Ideally previous experience of change and restructuring.
  • Ideally experienced in public sector, government or similar unionised environments.
  • CIPD Level 5 or similar level of experience
  • Experience of managing positive employee relations.
  • Experience of interpreting and presenting HR data and information to enable effective decision-making.
  • Experience of providing balanced professional HR advice and guidance to managers and supporting managers at all levels in employment matters

The Offer

  • This role is offered on an initial temporary contract via Hays weekly time sheets.
  • The contract, until March 2025.
  • Hybrid working e.g. 3-4 days from home / office based in Southampton City Centre (near public transport links - train/bus.)
  • Full-time is 37 hours per week, it may be possible to review hours and flexibility is given to start and finish times.
