Technical Support EngineerPertemps are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join a specialist chemical manufacturer who are based in Hampshire. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a background within engineering.
Responsibilities: - Provide extensive technical support and backup to UK & European distributors.- Develop and implementing testing programmes. - Maintain and expand central knowledge databases for product and application information.- Attend site visits to support sales staff with technical details. - Answering calls and emails relating to technical support. - Hosting training sessions and hands on demonstration of the products. - Handling product quality complaints.- Assist with quality control when the QC Technician is absent. - Writing of technical articles and product PR.- Updating CRM database, forwarding sales leads to relevant departments.
Requirements: - Experience within a similar role - Experience working with adhesives, sealants, coatings or paints is advantageous - Science based qualification or degree - Engineering background - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Happy to travel to Europe occasionally- Full UK driving licence
The Technical Support Engineer Role: - Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm - Negotiable salary depending on experience - Annual Bonus - Happy with occasional travel including European travel and attending exhibitions - 25 days holiday plus bank holiday - Generous pension contribution - Private Medical Cover
