Position: Senior Engineer

Location: Home-based with travel to Southampton and occasional travel to other sites as required.

About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to implement technical solutions and services for our client's customers. This pivotal role involves delivering and documenting technical solutions in collaboration with the PMO and presales teams. You will work to exceed customer expectations and ensure seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Wireless Surveys: Conduct wireless surveys using Ekahau technology and create comprehensive survey results reports.
  • Technical Implementation: Install and configure solutions designed by presales or professional services teams, including tasks such as racking, stacking, and kit configuration.
  • Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation for both customers and internal teams, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
  • Collaboration: Provide engineering support to sales and presales teams as needed. Work across departments (Managed Services, PMO, Warehouse) to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Customer Support: Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain regular progress updates.
  • Compliance: Adhere to departmental processes, SLAs, OLAs, and company policies related to security, safety, health, and environment.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Awareness of SLAs and KPIs with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Comfortable with long-distance driving and occasional work at height.

Technical Expertise Required:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco Wireless and Meraki technologies.
  • Hands-on experience conducting wireless surveys using Ekahau (predictive, APoS, and post-implementation).
  • Familiarity with Cisco core technologies and experience in project-based environments.

Desired Qualifications:

  • CCNA certifications in Routing & Switching, Security, or Wireless.
  • Knowledge of additional Cisco technologies, including Data Centre and Security.
