Role details:
Our client, a prominent player in the Defence and Security sector, is looking for a Systems Engineer to complete the design, development and integration of networked based security systems for a key strategic product. This role can be based at either their Basildon or Southampton sites with hybrid working opportunities. The initial contract duration is 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, developing, and integrating network-based security systems for a strategic product
- Developing and delivering key integrated networked systems
- Assisting with platform integration and testing
- Completing lab testing, documentation, and delivery of the systems
- Integrating the system onto the platform and validating subsystem inter-operation for customer delivery
- Engaging in other aspects of complex systems projects to support long-term business opportunities
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus and deliver project objectives
Job Requirements:
- Experience in IT networking, systems integration, firewall management, and network security
- Strong understanding of IP Networking, including router, switching, and firewalling
- Knowledge of security disciplines within the defence and security sector
- Familiarity with the System Engineer life cycle
