We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to join our client, who are logistics company operating out of Southampton docks. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, including transport management systems and customs software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in tools such as Excel.
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday - 09:00am to 17:30pm
Salary: Up to 30,000
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain the transport management systems and customs software
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT infrastructure issues
- Analyze system performance and implement improvements
- Develop and maintain IT documentation and procedures
- Provide technical support to the Customs Brokerage Department
Requirements:
- Experience in a IT role within a transport/logistics setting
- Proven experience with transport management systems and customs software
- Proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Day-to-day:
- Monitor and maintain transport management systems and customs software
- Collaborate with the Customs Brokerage team to identify and address IT issues
- Analyze system performance and implement improvements
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external users
