Location: Totton, Hampshire

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

The Role

As Business Systems Analyst at the company, you will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making system improvements and IT optimisation.  Reporting to the Head of Admin & Systems, this role is responsible for managing business intelligence (MI) reporting with the support of the Head of Admin & Systems, overseeing system upgrades and ensuring technology aligns with business objectives. This role is ideal for a data-driven individual with a passion for technology and process optimisation, looking for a challenge and to make a tangible impact on business decision-making and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Admin & Systems in business decision-making through insightful MI reporting and data analysis across all business areas.
  • Support the Head of Admin & Systems in the lead of implementation projects, system upgrades and producing meaningful analytics to support key decision making and recommendations.
  • Liaise with IT sub-contractors/ 3rd party outsourced services, to develop strategies for the optimisation of  reporting and IT Platforms and systems.
  • This role is strongly interlinked with business decision-making and MI reporting, so you will need to have a good understanding of reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Producing MI reports, analysing trends, highlighting opportunities to better support the business stakeholders and management teams.
  • Using modelling tools and analysis to identify business needs.
  • Creating IT project plans to ensure agile and continuous improvement for system and process improvement.
  • Using technology to manage business risk and to uphold compliance.
  • Handling multiple systems to deliver business objectives. To identify technology to aid. productivity and efficiency benefits through smarter ways of working.
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Admin & Systems regarding the ERP system, data integration and subsequent MI and analytics.
  • Manage relevant projects relating to business IT and System requirements as directed by the Head of Admin & systems.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proficiency in SQL and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a deep understanding of business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience supporting business systems, applications, or bespoke software.
  • Awareness of emerging IT trends and technologies.
  • Proactive, collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills.

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree qualified in a relevant field
  • 2 years of experience working in a similar field or role
