They are seeking a talented Xplan Product Analyst to join their small, friendly team of skilled professionals. You will play a crucial role in managing product changes within our core adviser-facing and internal operational systems.This role offers you the chance to gain hands-on experience in technical system configuration, business analysis, and solution design. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the financial advice business, build system knowledge in industry-leading applications, and develop your skills in supplier and stakeholder management.As a Xplan Product Analyst, you will provide subject matter expertise and support change delivery through system configuration aligned with our change backlog. Additionally, you will manage service tickets and liaise with suppliers to ensure excellent customer service for the systems we support.
Your new role
- Analyse business processes and systems, implementing changes that align technology solutions with business goals and the overall technology strategy and roadmaps.
- Define and formulate the scope and objectives of systems based on end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems, applications, and industry standards.
- Identify, capture, and develop both functional and non-functional requirements, providing necessary documentation and business rules to support these requirements throughout the project lifecycle and change control processes. Prioritise requirements based on their value and feasibility.
- Drive continuous improvement of business products and services by translating requirements into enhanced design and service delivery.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between technical staff and the relevant end-user departments to understand the business implications of technical solutions on both current and future business environments.
- Manage system incidents, collaborating with the project team to ensure timely resolution.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in the role of Product Support Analyst, familiarity with ITIL, Agile Practices, and Business/Systems Analysis is desirable, though not essential.Experience across the software development lifecycle within change implementation is necessary. You should possess the ability or willingness to learn how to design and document business processes, engage stakeholders effectively, manage expectations, explain technical details, and assist with planning activities.Ideally, you will have experience in configuring system settings, testing functionality, and new releases. Additionally, technical knowledge and experience in at least one of the following areas are highly beneficial:
- Application and Data Integration Platforms
- Knowledge of Xplan (highly desirable)
- Web Content Management
- SQL Server Databases
- Microsoft technologies
- Financial services software (e.g., Adviser POS Solutions)
- Working in an Agile or DevOps environment
- Collaborating in virtual teams across functions, businesses, and geographies
- Understanding the IT delivery lifecycle, associated methodologies, and their practical application
