Mechanical Fitters Urgently Required to work for a leading manufacturing organisation based near Southampton. This is a mechanical Fitter role with a difference as you will be working on the Assembly, Service, repair and maintenance of both new equipment and also equipment on the service plan from customers.

Working within a specialist area of the business you will be fitting and assembling a wide range of mechanical equipment that will go into a variety of production environments globally.Full product training will be given, however must be able to meet the basic principals laid out below.

Key Roles:

In-house engineering jobs, repairs and manufacturing projects.
Manufacture, assemble, Inspection service and repair work of all equipment.
Mechanical assembly experience
Small batch and one-off manufacturing.
Repair of associated equipment
Liaise with management relating to any quality issues relating to customer requirements (NCR) & supplier performance. (ISO9001)

Ideal Knowledge:

Use of hand tools and power tools such as drills, grinders and sanders.
Use of machine shop equipment including mill, lathe, saws, tube bender and hydraulic tube bender.
Packing and protection of parts and products for shipping
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, translate product drawings into actionable process information and develop design ideas and plans successfully
Strong verbal and written. communication skills and the ability to cultivate good relationships.
Understanding of design and visualisation software.
Excellent analytical and judgement skills.
Work autonomously with the ability to set and meet deadlines.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
