Sonic Summary

My client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter for an immediate position in Southampton.
The role offers an umbrella rate between £30-£35 per hour, Monday to Friday.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy industry and a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience with cranes, hydraulic systems, and an understanding of electrical systems is essential.
Candidates are required to provide their own tools and must have a driving license.

My client has an immediate requirement for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to work at their site in Southampton

This position is on days Mon-Fri offering an umbrella rate of between £30-£35 per hour

It is imperative that applicants must have work on either cranes or complex hydraulic heavy lifting equipment

Applicants must also have an appreciation of electrics although the company also employs electrical fitters

Prerequisites:
• Min 5 years exp working around heavy industry.
• Min Level 3 NVQ or similar in Mechanical engineering discipline/ preferred HNC
• Proven experience of working with (diagnostics and repair of) hydraulic systems.
• An understanding of electrical systems/motors and safe isolations.
• Able to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Experience of working on Cranes
• MEWPS License NPORS or equivalent
• Must provide their own tools – specialist OEM tools will be provided.
• Driving license
