Sonic Summary

My client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter for their Southampton site, with an immediate start available.
The position is a day shift from Monday to Friday, offering an umbrella rate of £30-£35 per hour.
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy industry and a Level 3 NVQ or similar qualification in Mechanical Engineering, with a preference for an HNC.
Candidates should have proven experience with hydraulic systems, an understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
A MEWPS License NPORS or equivalent is required, and applicants must provide their own tools, as specialist OEM tools will be supplied.

My client has an immediate requirement for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to work at their site in Southampton

This position is on days Mon-Fri offering an umbrella rate of between £30-£35 per hour

It is imperative that applicants must have work on either cranes or complex hydraulic heavy lifting equipment

Applicants must also have an appreciation of electrics although the company also employs electrical fitters

Prerequisites: • Min 5 years exp working around heavy industry. • Min Level 3 NVQ or similar in Mechanical engineering discipline/ preferred HNC • Proven experience of working with (diagnostics and repair of) hydraulic systems. • An understanding of electrical systems/motors and safe isolations. • Able to read technical drawings and schematics. • Experience of working on Cranes • MEWPS License NPORS or equivalent • Must provide their own tools – specialist OEM tools will be provided. • Driving license
