Your Company:The talent acquisition team at NET Recruit is partnering with a very successful manufacturing business, who is searching for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join the team in the Southampton area. Offering a broad range of products and leading the equipment and tool hire sector, this business has been rapidly growing and expanding their resources in order to develop their business further and as such as this is an excellent time to join this business.The position holder will have visibility across the majority of the business' product offerings, providing vital servicing work to their tools, equipment and plant to ensure it is fit for purpose and ready to be delivered to customers. This role will be based out of Southampton; however, the position holder will need to travel wherever is required in the region.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesWhile in this position your duties may include but will not be limited to:
  • Conducting repair and maintenance work on various tools and powered access equipment
  • Equipment can include hydraulic and electrical items, as well as petrol and diesel engines
  • Supporting on off-site breakdowns
  • Completing PAT tests on equipment and items
  • Ensuring that paperwork and documentation is created and updated as needed
  • Providing support to the wider team in the workshop when required
What you will need to Apply:It is essential, in order to be considered for this role, that applicants must have previous experience in undertaking repair work for tool hire equipment as well as powered access machinery, and a good understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical engineering. Industry experience within manufacturing or engineering sectors is also sought after. Candidates will be strong communicators and have a good degree of computer literacy, alongside fantastic organisational abilities.What you will get in Return:The successful candidate could receive a starting salary of up to £30,000, which will be highly dependent on previous experience and sector exposure.
