My client in the education sector is looking for a Communications Advisor for a 9-month period to cover maternity leave.  Working in a busy communications team of four, this role will focus on internal comms to staff and students including weekly staff newsletters, preparation for monthly staff briefings, and student news updates and stories.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Manage day-to-day staff communications through newsletters, digital screens, and internal portals.
  • Organise and support the delivery of staff briefings.
  • Support the creation and delivery of student communications, including monthly news updates and campaigns.
  • Champion the brand, ensuring consistent messaging and helping staff to act as effective ambassadors.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messages are cascaded effectively.
  • Assist with gathering feedback from staff and students.
  • Support the activities of the Corporate Communications team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in communications and marketing with copywriting and creative writing skills.  Good stakeholder engagement skills will be required as it is a busy role and you will need to liaise with lots of people to gain the news stories, ability to project plan and work to deadlines is essential.

The organisation offers hybrid working arrangements of 2-3 days per week in the office (flexible), it is a full-time role working 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday on a temporary working contract.
