Original Talent Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a well established, multimodal freight forwarder who are based in the heart of Southampton

They are looking for someone to join the team who has experience in a similar role, working for a direct Freight Forwarder across Air, Road or Sea.You must have knowledge of freight processes, quotations and customs clearances

Duties to include:

  • Manage the import and export process from start through to completion
  • Provide quotes to customers and then follow up
  • Liaise with third parties including airlines, carriers, shippers and hauliers on a global scale
  • Manage delays on shipments and try to minimise the risk of further delays
  • Effectively look at the shipping routes, carrier and hauliers to obtain the most cost effective solution, bearing in mind time scales
  • Collate all relevant documents to process clearances

Ideally you will:

  • Have experience in a similar role
  • Have experience with customs clearance
  • Have experience across Air, Road or Sea Freight
  • Be a strong team player during busy periods
  • Be able to cope with a busy workload
