Job Title: Clinical Negligence Junior Associate - Defendant Location: Southampton (Hybrid)Overview:An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented Junior Associate to join the clinical negligence team at a leading international law firm. Our client is renowned for its expertise in defending complex and high-profile clinical negligence claims for a diverse range of healthcare clients, including NHS trusts, private healthcare providers, and medical insurers.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting senior associates and partners in handling a caseload of high value and complex clinical negligence matters. 
  • Drafting legal documents, preparing instructions to counsel, and advising healthcare clients on liability and quantum.
  • Managing your own caseload of lower-value clinical negligence claims under supervision.
  • Attending court hearings, settlement negotiations, and mediations as required.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Solicitor - NQ-3 years PQE. 
  • Previous experience of working on Clinical Negligence claims. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Passion for working with healthcare clients and an interest in the evolving nature of healthcare law and patient safety.
