Our client based in Southampton are looking for a Logistics Co-Ordinator to join their growing teams on an ongoing contract with the view to go permanent. Our client is a full supply chain services business specialising in Inbound shipping, warehousing, storage, and freight management.

The main role of the Logistics Co-Ordinator will be sorting through the release, collection and delivery of inbound and outbound goods from cartons to containers. The ideal candidate will be great on the phone, confident to take on any task and IT Literate.

Duties of the role:
- Planning inbound & outbound schedules within the scope of available warehouse hours
- Being able to make fast-paced decisions and changes to schedules/bookings when challenges are encountered
- Adapt & flex to the needs of the department
- Liaise with clients, forwarders, hauliers, agents, retailers and internal departments to ensure deliveries are planned and received as quickly as possible
- Ensure all emails and calls are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
- Escalate any issues raised with the appropriate departments

Experience Required:
- No experience required but a background in Logistics or Customer Service is Preferred
- Experience working in Customer Service or Client Facing
- IT Literate (use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word & Teams)
- Willingness to Learn and Progress within the Business

Offer:
- Monday to Friday
- 37.5hrs per week (Start times can be flexible between 8am-9am) - 1hr lunch break
- £12.25ph - after 12 weeks this will uplift to £12.96ph (£25,279.16 per annum)
