Technology manufacturing business require a Procurement Contracts Manager. Applicants need contract management expertise ideally gained within a commercial, contracts, subcontracts or procurement role within aerospace, defence and related industries.
The Procurement Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing downstream contractual relationships with suppliers and subcontract partners. The Procurement Contracts Manager will ensure the business agrees to commercially advantageous agreements which also ensure compliance with industry/organisational requirements and mitigate risk.
Specific duties of the Procurement Contracts Manager include:
- Review supplier contracts and assess contractual and commercial risk
- Draft, review and negotiate T&Cs of long term agreements
- Act as commercial contracts SME to colleagues in; Bids, Procurement, Sales etc.
- Administer contracts - assess performance against T&Cs and compliance
- Day-to-day contract management and contract change activities
- In life and post-signature activities - contract extensions, claims, disputes etc.
- Escalate complex issues/conflicts to colleagues in the legal department
- Work with Legal and Commercial colleagues to improve contract management; tools, systems and processes
Procurement Contracts Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience of managing contracts, in a contract management, commercial or procurement role
- The ability to negotiate contracts, mitigate risks, respond/review contracts and draft responses
- Experience within aerospace, defence or within manufacturing businesses supporting those industries would be advantageous
- Law or Business degrees, IACCM, MCIPS, LPC, GDL qualifications would be advantageous but not essential
- Comfortable working on site 4 days per week and 1 day remote
