We have an exciting opportunity for a Sea Freight Import Coordinator to join a well-established team in Southampton. Our client specialises in International Freight Management, including movements by air, sea and road as well as providing bonded warehousing solutions. This role would suit a candidate who is passionate about logistics and enjoys working in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Sea Freight Import operations, import regulations and customs clearance procedures.

Your key responsibilities as a Sea Freight Import Coordinator:

  • Complete start-to-finish consignments by sea freight
  • Building strong working relationships with clients/shipping lines & agents, good negotiation skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Provide freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers
  • Gaining a full understanding of our Bonded warehouse operation and inbound logistics.
  • Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, merchant haulage and various carriers
  • Track and update delivery statutes in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
  • Completion of customs procedures
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations and trade compliance laws
