We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer for one of our clients based in Southampton. Our client is a family-run business for 40 years, working together with store partners to provide the best value optometry, audiology and other healthcare service for their customers. You will find them in the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Spain, Australia and New Zealand, employing over 46,000 people who work across their 2,293 stores, as well as in their support offices and throughout the supply chain.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will actively contribute to the achievement of the company's Quality & Service goals and continuous improvement culture by ensuring that process critical equipment is always maintained and cared for. This is a busy and challenging environment, and both perseverance and flexibility in approach will be required to be successful in this position.
- We are looking for someone who has completed an engineering apprenticeship (or can demonstrate extensive experience) with a minimum ONC, City & Guilds L3, NVQ L3 or equivalent qualification. Proven ability to diagnose faults and solve problems in a wide variety of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Hours of Work are Monday to Friday 00:00 to 08:00
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will need to have:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer role is essential.
- Engineering qualification or equivalent
- A very good level of general IT literacy
