Position : Maintenance Engineer
Bias : Electrical
Environment : Heavy plant. Work may include working indoors, outdoors, at height and in confined spaces
Structure : Will be working as part of a maintenance team of two
Rate : 30-40 per hour depending on skills, experience and status
Status : Inside IR35 or PAYE
Start : April 2025
Hours : Monday to Friday days. 39 hour week (Mon - Thu 0730 to 1600hrs, Fri 0730 to 1500hrs).
Duration : 6 months expected
Requirements :
- Formal qualification to at least level 3 in Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience in reactive and planned preventative maintenance work
- Test and inspect (2394 & 2395 certification) desirable
- Experience in fire alarm systems
- Experience in PLC's preferred
- Experience of 24V bus and control systems
- Able to read schematic drawings and fault find on control / bus systems
- Able to work in a team with others - you will work very closely with one other person for the duration of the contract
- Experience working on large plant eg cranes, kinetic architecture
- Understanding of emergency lighting systems benenficial (UPS, battery back up etc)
- Happy to work indoors, outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces
