Position : Maintenance Engineer

Bias : Electrical

Environment : Heavy plant. Work may include working indoors, outdoors, at height and in confined spaces

Structure : Will be working as part of a maintenance team of two

Rate : 30-40 per hour depending on skills, experience and status

Status : Inside IR35 or PAYE

Start : April 2025

Hours : Monday to Friday days. 39 hour week (Mon - Thu 0730 to 1600hrs, Fri 0730 to 1500hrs).

Duration : 6 months expected

Requirements :

  • Formal qualification to at least level 3 in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience in reactive and planned preventative maintenance work
  • Test and inspect (2394 & 2395 certification) desirable
  • Experience in fire alarm systems
  • Experience in PLC's preferred
  • Experience of 24V bus and control systems
  • Able to read schematic drawings and fault find on control / bus systems
  • Able to work in a team with others - you will work very closely with one other person for the duration of the contract
  • Experience working on large plant eg cranes, kinetic architecture
  • Understanding of emergency lighting systems benenficial (UPS, battery back up etc)
  • Happy to work indoors, outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces
