Our client, is currently seeking a Clerk of Works with extensive experience in highway asphalt surfacing to join their team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and overseeing asphalt surfacing activities on various projects
- Ensuring that all surfacing works are carried out to the highest standards and specifications
- Witnessing and documenting surfacing activities during both day and night shifts
- Collaborating with project teams to address any issues or discrepancies on-site
- Maintaining detailed records of all surfacing operations and inspections
- Providing expert advice on surfacing methodologies and techniques
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in asphalt surfacing, particularly in a supervision or Clerk of Works capacity
- Strong understanding of highway construction and maintenance practices
- Ability to work flexibly, covering both day and night shifts as required
- Excellent observational and documentation skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving on-site issues
