Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Salary: 27,000-28,000 per annum

Location: Southampton

37.5 hours per week

Our facilities management client provide a full range of grounds maintenance services to the NHS. They are looking for a Team Leader to ensure the service is continuously improved and the specification is met and exceeded.

The Grounds Maintenance Team Leader will ensure the GM services are delivered safely and effectively in accordance with Health and Safety best practice.

Tasks:

  • Provide training to staff including toolbox talks.
  • Provide horticultural and grounds advice/knowledge to the contract.
  • Supervise a team of grounds staff to achieve optimum efficiency.
  • Horticultural grounds maintenance tasks at all contracted sites.
  • Driving company vehicles and transporting plant, machinery and equipment.
  • Chemical weed spraying.
  • Ensure all sites are left in a clean and tidy state.
  • Maintaining of records relating to tasks performed timesheets, materials, vehicles and equipment.
  • Reporting any damage or vandalism.
  • Maintenance of vehicles and machinery and reporting any defects.

The successful candidate will aim to exceed customer expectations and assist in conducting grounds maintenance audits. They will ensure quality and equality are of paramount importance and are fully integrated into practices and procedures.
