We are currently looking for an Electronics Assembly Technician to join our small and dynamic team in Southampton. We are a company that supply RF and microwave components, systems and instrumentation for a wide range of industries within the UK and internationally. We specialise in Surface-mount components and assemblies and have an in-house design and manufacturing team that produce waveguide components and custom RF systems. We sell a unique system to end users, creating something that no-one else in the world does. We put major units into Royal Navy vessels across the UK as part of the Type 26 Frigate program.

The ideal candidate for this role would have the following:

Essentials

  • Good soldering ability using SMT and leaded devices
  • Ability to follow wiring diagrams to crimp and solder parts accordingly
  • Ability to use electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscopes and DVMs
  • Ability to read and follow circuit diagrams and PCB layouts
  • Basic MS Office skills (Word & Excel)
  • Ability to carry out testing of components and systems to a test plan and log results
  • Carry out some basic mechanical fabrication/modification
  • PCB assembly & soldering experience
  • Previous test experience with Electronic and RF systems
  • SC Clearance (British Citizen)
