Senior Risk Analyst | Southampton | >£50K

A privately owned powerhouse of a financial services organisation is hiring a Senior Risk Analyst to play an instrumental part in group-wide risk analysis.

You'll play a lead park in the risk teams activities, supporting initiatives across affiliated entities, taking ownership of core risk management tasks, and making a positive contribution to the development of robust and effective risk framework.

Reporting the Risk Manager duties will include but no be limited to:

  • Support application and enhancement of the ERM Framework and core Risk Management policies
  • Drive a positive, collaborative risk culture across the group, leading by example and inspiring courageous decision making and accountability
  • Coordinate and support the annual Enterprise Risk Assessment cycle
  • Provide dedicated support to client facing and business support functions to understand & drive improvement in their operational drivers, concerns and key risks
  • Monitor changes in the operational environment & escalate where required to ensure continued alignment with strategic and transformation goals
  • Drive quarterly jurisdictional reporting processes ensuring data is accurate, timely and generates appropriate action
  • Coordination and analysis of risks associated with new business, ensuring these are identified, assessed and documented appropriately and that the risk profile of new clients and client mandates are clearly understood
  • Administration of the New Business Committee (NBC), including attendance at NBC meetings to record minutes and follow-up of NBC actions to ensure identified exposures are appropriately managed.

The ideal candidate will be coming a strong background in risk management, and will boast the following soft and technical skills:

  • Driven to succeed
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in analysis and risk reduction
  • Intermediate to advanced skill in MS office to include; Excel, word, and PowerPoint
