Job Title: Music Teacher

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join a vibrant school in Southampton. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start. The successful candidate will inspire students across various year groups, fostering a love of music and helping them develop their skills and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students across KS1-KS4
- Teach a variety of musical disciplines, including theory, instruments, and performance
- Prepare students for school concerts, performances, and exams
- Support the development of students' musical abilities, encouraging creativity and self-expression
- Organize and lead extra-curricular music clubs and activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into broader curriculum topics
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
- Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching music at primary or secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach a range of musical genres and instruments
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiastic, creative, and able to inspire a love of music
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Immediate availability to start
