We are excited to be working with a reputable logistics company close to the Totton area of Hampshire who are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join their friendly team! The Role:
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced and professional Freight Forwarder with recent experience, who has knowledge of Air, Sea, Road and Courier services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and processing documentation to ensure customs compliance is followed at all times
- Monitoring shipments to ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner
- Coordinating the Import and Export processes including UK landing, customs clearance and container haulage
- Ensuring an excellent customer service is maintained and delivered to the highest standard at all times
- Managing the shipping process from booking to delivery
Key Skills:
- Previous Freight Forwarding experience within the last 12 months
- Excellent communication skills
- Customs clearance experience and an understanding of the relevant procedures
- Computer literate particularly with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
