In existence since 1985, next year Winterbothams will celebrate a milestone 40-year anniversary of marine surveying. Over four decades now, we have provided a number of services to the industry spanning from pre-purchase surveys to refit technical supervision, plan appraisals, specification writing, new construction technical supervision, valuations, expert witness work, and arbitration.

We are looking for someone for a fixed term period of 12 months (as maternity cover) who is able to fit in with our small team based in Totton, working alongside the other Office Manager and nine Surveyors. Ideally the hours would be two full days, Thursday and Friday, however we can be flexible on this for the right candidate. (Although working a Friday is a must).

Key Tasks

  • Dealing with incoming emails and phone calls
  • Reviewing and sending out proposals, reports and contracts
  • Producing invoices and credit notes
  • Creating timesheets for new jobs and monthly work
  • Processing expenses
  • Ensuring spreadsheets and records are up to date
  • Booking overseas travel for surveys
  • Adhoc tasks for the smooth running of the office and projects
