Cover Supervisor (CS) - Southampton, Hampshire

GSL Education are looking for a full-time Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in Southampton, Hampshire. This is a flexible role with a competitive daily pay rate of £95 - £120 (based on experience), starting ASAP or from Easter 2025. Choose when you work, up to 5 days per week available. This is a perfect opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those looking to gain classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans and maintain a productive classroom environment.
• Supervise and manage student behaviour effectively.
• Provide guidance and support to students where needed.
• Adapt to different subjects and year groups
• Ensure a smooth and positive learning experience in the teacher’s absence.

Requirements: 

• Strong classroom management skills and confidence in leading a class.
• A passion for education and inspiring young minds.
• Previous experience working with young people (preferred but not essential).
• A degree or equivalent qualification (ideal for graduates).

• The ability to adapt quickly and manage different classroom settings.
• Possess a patient, empathetic and proactive approach to working with children.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
