Day-to-day of the role:
  • Setting up the exam hall prior to the arrival of students.
  • Distributing and collecting exam papers and materials.
  • Recording attendance and ensuring all candidates are present.
  • Monitoring the exam environment to ensure all guidelines and procedures are followed.
  • Maintaining a quiet atmosphere conducive to focusing and preventing any form of communication among candidates.
  • Handling any queries from students regarding exam procedures.
  • Ensuring that candidates do not possess unauthorised materials.
  • Accompanying candidates temporarily outside the examination hall if required.
  • Collecting all exam materials at the end of the session and securely handing them over to the senior invigilator or staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills with a good standard of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality and integrity standards.
  • Capable of following detailed instructions and adhering to exam procedures.
  • Good organisational skills to manage examination materials and documentation.
  • Ability to stand and supervise for extended periods.
