Prospero Teaching are seeking HLTAs across Southampton and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for HLTAs who are passionate about supporting students and working closely with teaching staff to ensure high-quality education.

About the Role:

As a HLTA you will:

  • Deliver lessons and lead classroom activities in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • You are dedicated to supporting student learning and well being.
  • You take a flexible and adaptable approach to working across different year groups and settings.
  • You are organised, dependable and have fantastic time management skills.
  • You possess the ability to work independently and confidently in a classroom setting.

Location - Multiple across Southampton and surrounding areas.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

  • HLTA qualifications (essential)
  • Experience of working in a classroom setting (desirable)
  • Experience working with students with SEN (desirable)

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
