Salary Range: £27,000 to £32,000 depending on experience.

Reed is pleased to be supporting a privately owned business with a long history and locations across the globe. Their major business operations, including Research and Development, Manufacturing, Service, and Product Marketing, based near Southampton with approximately 300 staff members.

Job Purpose:

Located near Southampton, this role is crucial for supporting HR and Payroll processes across the UK entities. The role focuses on the maintenance of the HR Information Systems with a particular emphasis on payroll, time and attendance, and data management. Working closely with the payroll bureau service and managing the relationship.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Maintain and check systems input into monthly payroll for two UK payrolls, coordinating with the payroll partner to ensure timely and accurate changes.
  • Accurately maintain personal information in ERP systems
  • Reconcile employee hours worked monthly and manage monthly overtime amounts and approvals.
  • Promptly respond to payroll and general queries.
  • Administer employee benefits, handle documentation related to the full employment lifecycle and support the onboarding process for new staff.
  • Support broader HR initiatives, tasks, and projects as required by changing business priorities.

Required Experience:

Essential:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration.
  • Experience working in a HR team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical mindset.
  • Previous experience maintaining HR Information Systems.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (MS Word and MS Excel essential).
