A Day in the Life of a Pharmacist

As a Locum Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in covering the dispensary and wards! 

  • Clinically check prescriptions and ensure accurate dispensing of medicines

  • Supervise dispensary staff and maintain high standards of service and safety

  • Manage stock levels and oversee the procurement process

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and trust policies

  • Provide training and development support for pharmacy technicians and assistants

  • Collaborate with the wider pharmacy and healthcare teams to optimise patient care

  • Maintain accurate records and support the safe and effective supply of medicines

Requirements and qualifications required for this role:

  • Current and valid registration with the GPHC as a Pharmacist
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
