Summary:We are looking for a Market Assurance Analyst to join a company that plays a key role in supporting competition within the non-household retail water market. As part of the Assurance team, you'll analyse market data, monitor performance, identify risks, audit companies for rule compliance, and suggest improvements. If you have strong word processing and Excel skills, a process-oriented mindset, good communication skills and experience in a similar analytical role in utilities or a regulated industry. Key responsibilities:

  • Identify market risks and issues and recommend actions for resolution.
  • Extract data, review metrics, and generate performance reports
  • Audit water companies to ensure compliance with market rules and suggest improvements.
  • Leverage market knowledge to collaborate with the team and drive enhancements
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders
  • Assist water companies with compliance or performance concerns.
  • Keep process documents updated and propose improvements

Skills and experience required:

  • Degree educated in a related subject - Mathematics / Economics
  • Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting).
  • Strong word processing skills with the ability to interpret structured and unstructured text
  • Skilled in processing large amounts of data and extracting insights
  • Experience of working in a utilities or regulated industry - Desirable
  • Used to looking at performance metrics & manipulating data
  • Detail-oriented with a process-focused mindset
  • Strong written communication skills
