We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Year Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Southampton for the summer term. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is passionate about Early Years education and committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a broad and creative Early Years curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Foster a stimulating and supportive classroom environment where children feel confident to explore and learn.
- Use a play-based approach to develop children's early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Assess and track student progress, providing individualized support where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure positive outcomes for all pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), preferably in Reception.
- A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- A creative and adaptable approach to teaching.
